Guided by our mission to preserve and strengthen cultural diversity, long-term livability, and economic opportunity throughout southeast Seattle, we provide lending capital to entrepreneurs and developers that enhance the quality of life in the community.
Our loan officers can provide strategic support to help you with your borrowing needs and pair you with expert business advisers that are able to provide hands-on assistance and resources to grow your business.
Our clients are southeast Seattle businesses–food services, health clinics, commercial real estate owners, affordable housing and community facilities–that form the backbone of every community. Our small business loans help support minority and women owned businesses, generate local jobs and improve economic opportunities in our neighborhoods.
Our loan criteria are not the same as those at traditional lending agencies.
We look at factors including character, business capacity, and projected cash flow, as well as the impact a business will have on the Rainier Valley community.
From 2003 to 2009, RVCDF administered more than $15 million in mitigation funds to 183 southeast Seattle businesses impacted by Sound Transit’s light rail construction.
We are proud of our efforts to create tangible, data-driven results by investing in the Rainier Valley community with a key focus on minority and women owned businesses through our lending programs initiated in 2006.
If your business or residence is located in southeast Seattle and your company has been in business for at least one year, Rainier Valley Community Development Fund will work with you on your specific financing needs. Take a few minutes to complete a loan inquiry now.
